Sunday, May 10 @ 7:30 PST
Please register 2 hours in advance for this special zoom event:
Join award-winning singer and songwriter, Judith-Kate Friedman as she spreads a welcoming table of song, story and humor in her live zoom concert this Mother’s Day 2020. Judith-Kate writes songs about love, witness, loss, gratitude, justice, risk, and change from the inside out. “Life can be revelatory and startling as Doug fir branches against a sudden snowstorm sky,” she says. “Mystery is everywhere, and so is truth. That’s what makes me want to sing.”
This concert is part of the Springboard 2020 free online festival raising funds for Songwriting Works Educational Foundation, the non-profit which Judith-Kate founded to restore joy, hope, health and community through story and song.
This hour-long Mother’s Day concert will include Judith-Kate’s original songs and songs composed collectively in Songwriting Works projects. “Its possible we may even write a Mother’s Day song together,” Judith-Kate says. “Bring your ideas. :-) ”
Funds raised will go toward bringing Songwriting Works’ team of professional songwriters together with elders, youth and families in greatest need –
including at a distance during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Springboard 2020 will include other online events and songwriting opportunities through 6/6/2020. For details visit: www.songwritingworks.org
